Creating & Managing Events on Your My Place Website

With My Place, adding and updating events is simple and intuitive. Follow these steps to create, edit, and manage your venue’s events.

Creating a New Event

Navigate to the Events Tab

Log in to your My Place website by appending /login to your domain (e.g., https://yourvenue.my-place.io/login).
Click on the Events tab from the navigation menu.

**Click “Add Event” **

At the top of the Events section, click the “Add Event” button to open the event creation panel.

Enter Event Details

Event Name: Enter a clear and engaging title for your event.
Description: Provide details about the event, including what guests can expect.
Upload an Image: Click “Add images” to upload a photo that represents the event.

**Set Date & Time **

Choose between Standard (one-time event) or Repeating (recurring event) options.
For Repeating Events, select the recurrence pattern (e.g., “Every month on the 13th”).
Set the start and end times for the event.

Save the Event

Click “Add Event” to publish it to your website.
The event will now appear in the Events tab, visible to your customers.

Editing an Existing Event

Find the Event

Navigate to the Events tab.
Locate the event you wish to edit.

Connecting Your Domain

Pointing your own domain (like yourpub.co.uk) to your site makes it easy for customers to find you online. This is handled securely through the Domain section in your site settings.

🔧 How to Connect a Domain

Click Edit Site in the bottom-right corner of your dashboard.
Select Domain from the menu.
Enter your domain name (e.g. myvenue.com).

Depending on your setup, you’ll be guided through one of the following verification flows.

✅ 1. Standard Configuration

If the domain is not already linked elsewhere, you'll see:

Required DNS Records:

If the domain is already connected to another Vercel project, you’ll see a Pending Verification message instead. In this case:

Welcome to My Place, the easiest way for independent pubs and bars to create and manage their own website. This guide will walk you through the registration process and how to set up your venue step by step.

Step 1: Registering for My Place

To begin, go to app.24social.io/register Here, you will need to enter your details:

Google Sign-In Option: If you prefer, you can register quickly by signing in with Google.
Email Address: Enter a valid email address for your account.
First Name & Last Name: Provide your full name.
Password: Create a secure password that meets the following requirements:
Minimum 12 characters
At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
At least one number (0-9)
At least one special character (!@#$%^&*(),.?"|<>)

Click Continue to proceed.

Step 2: Finding Your Place

After completing your registration, you will be guided to set up your venue. The first step is to find your venue using our Google-powered lookup tool.

Start typing your venue name in the search box.
If your venue appears in the dropdown list, select it.
If you can’t find your place, click on the relevant option to manually enter your details.

Click Next to continue.

Step 3: Describing Your Place

In this step, you will provide some basic information about your venue to personalise your website.

Menus in your site can be created quickly from scratch or even faster using AI. Here’s how:

Option 1: Generate from an Image or PDF (AI-powered)

If you already have a physical or digital version of your menu (like a photo, scan, or PDF), this is the fastest way to get going.

Go to the Menus section in your dashboard.
Click Add Menu.
Choose Generate from an image or PDF.
Upload your file.
Our AI will scan the document and pre-fill menu details:

Menu name
Sections (e.g. House Favourites, Classics)
Items, prices, and descriptions

Tip: If you have uploaded a PDF for the AI to analyse, your PDF will be kept for customers to download.

Once generated, you can:

Adjust section names
Edit or delete items
Add descriptions, allergens, images, and dietary tags

Tip: This is great for operators who already have a designed menu and want to save time re-typing.

Option 2: Create from Scratch

Prefer to build manually? No problem.

In the Menus section, click Add Menu, then Create from scratch.
Add a Menu Name and an optional Description.
Add a PDF so customers can download your menu as a PDF version
Use the Add Section button to create a section (e.g., "Starters", "Cocktails").
Inside each section, click Add Item to enter:

Name of the dish or drink
Price
Description
Upload an image (option

Configuring The Primary Button

The Primary Button is a high-visibility action button that appears at the top-right corner of your My Place website. It’s designed to help you direct visitors to key actions like bookings, contact, or promotions.

✨ What It Does

The Primary Button can either:

Act as a single direct link (no dropdown), or
Open a dropdown menu if you’ve added multiple links.

This makes it flexible for both simple and advanced use cases.

🛠 How to Set It Up

Open the Primary Button settings From the My Place dashboard (bottom-right corner), click Primary Button.
Set the main button label This is what shows in the button (e.g., “Book Now”, “Find Us”).
Add link(s) Use the + Add Link button to configure actions:

Link to another website: Enter a URL.
Link to an existing tab: Choose from Home, Menus, Events, etc.
Connect an app: e.g., DesignMyNight integration with venue ID.

Behavior Based on Link Count

One link only → The button acts as a single link (no dropdown).
Two or more links → A dropdown appears on click, listing all your configured options.

Organize or delete links

Reorder using drag-and-drop.
Remove with the trash icon.

Save your changes Click Save Changes to apply updates.

Keeping your contact information and opening times up to date helps customers reach you easily and improves their overall experience.

Where to Edit Contact Info

To make changes, click Edit Site in the bottom-right corner and open the Place Details panel. Here, you can update everything from your name and summary to your social links and hours.

✏️ Update Your Contact Page Details

1. Name, Summary and Facilities

Name: The name of your venue as it appears on the site.
Summary: A short description of what makes your place unique.
Facilities: Tags such as Cocktail Menu, Dog Friendly, etc.

2. Address

Add your full address:

Street name
City
Postcode
County and Country

This info shows under “Contact Information” and links to map tools.

3. Contact

Input your:

Phone number
Email address

These will appear on your website as tappable icons and text, making it easy for guests to get in touch.

4. Opening Times

Toggle each day on/off depending on whether you're open.
Add multiple time slots per day (e.g., one for brunch and one for evening).
Displays automatically on your site with dynamic “Open now” or “Closed” indicators.

5. Images

Upload or replace your:

Main Image (featured on your homepage)
Logo
Gallery images

These will display across your contact page and throughout your site.

6. Social Links

Add your venue’s social media profile
