Claiming Your My Place Website



Your website has been generated and is available to claim - this means there’s no complicated setup, your venue’s site is ready to preview immediately!


Your claim link will have been supplied to you already. It will look something like this:


https://yourvenue.my-place.io/?claim=1


Select the claim link to open the page in a web browser.


Step 2: Claim your website


A 'Claim this listing' banner will appear at the top of the webpage.


Click the 'Claim this venue' button.


You will then be asked to create an account. You will be asked for these details:

  • First/Last name
  • Email address
  • A password


Your website is now yours 🎉


Accessing Your Website & Editing


To make changes to your site, simply go to your website’s URL and append /login to access the admin interface. For example:


https://yourvenue.my-place.io/login


This will take you to the editing interface, where you’ll be able to manage your website's main page tabs and see a pencil button in the bottom right corner. Clicking this button will allow you to update your site’s key settings.


Editing Your Website Content


My Place makes editing your website straightforward:


  • Key Site Settings: Accessible via the edit panel after logging in.
  • Main Page Tabs: Each section of your site (e.g., Events, Menus, Offers) can be edited directly on its respective tab.


  • Adding & Editing Content:
  • Look for an “Add Event” button when managing events.
  • To update an existing item (like an event or menu item), navigate to that page and click the “Edit” button.


What’s Next?


For your website to be listed on search engines such as Google, you will need to connect a custom domain name.


To do this, you will need to upgrade your account:

How to upgrade:


  1. Click the 'Ready to go Live? Upgrade to Pro' banner
  2. Enter your card details. This is the card we will take payment from for your monthly subscription.
  3. Select pay and subscribe and your account will automatically be updated.


To manage your subscription simply log in to your website and navigate to Subscription.
