Creating a Menu

Menus in your site can be created quickly from scratch or even faster using AI. Here’s how:

Option 1: Generate from an Image or PDF (AI-powered)

If you already have a physical or digital version of your menu (like a photo, scan, or PDF), this is the fastest way to get going.

1. Go to the Menus section in your dashboard.
   
2. Click Add Menu.
   
3. Choose Generate from an image or PDF.
   
4. Upload your file.
   
5. Our AI will scan the document and pre-fill menu details:

• Menu name
• Sections (e.g. House Favourites, Classics)
• Items, prices, and descriptions

Tip: If you have uploaded a PDF for the AI to analyse, your PDF will be kept for customers to download.

6. Once generated, you can:

• Adjust section names
• Edit or delete items
• Add descriptions, allergens, images, and dietary tags

Tip: This is great for operators who already have a designed menu and want to save time re-typing.

Option 2: Create from Scratch

Prefer to build manually? No problem.

1. In the Menus section, click Add Menu, then Create from scratch.
   
2. Add a Menu Name and an optional Description.
3. Add a PDF so customers can download your menu as a PDF version
   
4. Use the Add Section button to create a section (e.g., "Starters", "Cocktails").

5. Inside each section, click Add Item to enter:

• Name of the dish or drink
• Price
• Description
• Upload an image (optional)
• Tag allergens and dietary info (optional)
  

5. Repeat until your menu is complete, then click Add Menu to publish.

🔁 Editing or Updating Menus

To make changes later:

• Click on any menu in the list and hit Edit Menu
• Update sections, add/remove items, or adjust pricing/details
• Click Save Menu when finished
